 Without unity no nation can stand. Unity is the glue that hold all aspects of society together.

Any wonder, it is commonly said, united we stand, divided we fall. 

There ways a nation can foster national unity. Below are some points for to consider when exploring ways to foster unity within a nation:

  1. Patriotism
  2. Abiding by the provisions of the national constitution.
  3. Balanced national development
  4. Tolerance of divergent views
  5. Regard for cultural diversity
  6. Encouraging domestic tourism
  7. Ensuring the rule of law (good governance)
  8. Ensuring free, fair and transparent national elections.
  9. Being development conscious as a nation
  10. Setting aside a day or festival to celebrate national unity.
