Write an article for publication in one of your national newspapers on “The role of the youth in the development of their local communities.”

The below is just a sample of a written article for publication in a local newspaper. You can use it to model yours.

In recent years, there has been a lot of concern voiced about the part that young people play in the growth of their local community, and as a responsible citizen, I would like to air my views on the subject through your widely circulated newspaper so that they can be heard by as many people as possible.

To begin with, it is imperative that young people participate in any and all community endeavours that aim to advance the state of development in the neighbourhood. They will acquire the best skills possible by actively participating in the activities of the community and learning from the more experienced members of the group. Not only will they receive useful solutions to their concerns, but they will also be brought up to speed on current problems that are impacting their communities. It will be possible for the youth to enhance the developmental activities of that community if they put in a lot of hard work alongside the opinion leaders in that community and ask the opinion leaders for suggestions.

Second, young people who are financially secure and who wish to contribute to the growth of their society might donate some of their wealth to worthy causes. Even people who do not have any money at all can participate in the process of generating money to sponsor various types of development projects.

Thirdly, promoting and ensuring that individuals in the local community are healthy enough to be able to work is a surefire way to attract and keep development. This is one of the best ways to encourage and maintain development. Children and young people are important participants in this. Educating members of the community about the importance of maintaining proper hygiene and avoiding the spread of communicable diseases is one strategy for promoting and maintaining good health in a community. Young people who are able to read and write have the opportunity to participate in such an essential activity. They must be provided with the necessary resources by the leaders of the community in order for them to educate the community on the need to maintain proper hygiene and avoid the spread of contagious diseases such as chicken pox and measles. In order to inspire and motivate a greater number of young people, the local community might decide to implement the activity in a way that is both beneficial and feasible.

To continue, one of the responsibilities that comes with being a part of a community is the obligation to represent that community to outsiders. They will be able to achieve this goal by preserving and honouring the community's valuable cultural traditions. You have no choice but to participate in communal labour if you want to ensure that the community has access to free labour for specific activities such as cleaning the environment by removing weeds and clearing gutters that are clogged with debris.

In conclusion, it is imperative that young people demonstrate discipline in all activities that are beneficial to their growth. Young people need to learn how to keep track of time so that they don't show up late to work or school. The ability to obey the law and show proper deference to the elderly are both essential components of healthy development.
