Dear Sir,

 REQUESTING MAINTENANANCE OF SCHOOL BUILDINGS

It is with a deep sense of sadness that I write to your office concerning the sorry state of the physical structures in our school. In my capacity as the School Prefect of Janaf Secondary School, I wish to draw your attention to the state of buildings in the school and the need to do maintenance on them before it is too late.

As a prefect, I am concerned about the maintenance of our school buildings. The roofs are leaking, and the paint on the walls is chipping away from years of exposure to the elements. This will cause considerable damage if left unchecked. Additionally, I am concerned about the amount of litter we find in the gutters and on the school grounds.

I am concerned that the teachers and the other prefects are not aware of the severity of these problems and the impact they are having on the students. As a member of the building and grounds committee, I would like to take an active role in improving these conditions. But to do so, we will need your help dear sir, for we cannot do it alone.

As we all know, the buildings in our school are steeped in history, being among the few commissioned by the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first president. As such, the destruction of these buildings beyond repair will not only amount to loss of use for the school, but also a loss of a piece of Ghana's rich history.

In view of the above, I humbly ask that you allocate funds for the upkeep of these structures so they can remain safe and usable by students and teachers alike.

I thank you, sir, for your consideration in this matter.

Yours faithfully,

Foster Frimpong,

Boys School Prefect
